Hallmark Recordable storybooks for kids

The idea of recordable audio books is great: a parent or grandparent buys the book, reads the story inside aloud, the book records it, and then they give it to their child or grandchild. The advantage is of course that the child will hear a loved voice telling that story, so they’ll feel close to you. Recordable storybooks make a great gift from parents who are away for long periods of time, or for grandparents who live a long way off.

I’ve found that among the most popular stories, most are devoted to telling the child how much it is loved. While this may make a great gift, it really doesn’t make a great story, so I’ve mixed it up a bit with classic fairy tales.

This is a lovely, heartfelt story about the true meaning of The Very First Christmas when Baby Jesus was born in a humble manger surrounded by animals. Read this story to YOUR loved ones…even if you can’t be there!

Christmas Story (Record Your Own Voice Series)

This is an excellent book for small children. It tells the true Christmas story and allows them some interaction, which keeps their attention. I have ordered one for each of my grandsons as they have come along.

Classic Record a Story: Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Goldilocks and the three bears is a classic fairy tale of a little girl who finds herself in the company of, you guessed it, three bears. It’s really a bear family: mom, dad and little bear. The three bears are good-natured, trusting, harmless, tidy, and hospitable.

Classic Record a Story: Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood, also known as Little Red Cap, is a famous fairy tale about a girl and a Big Bad Wolf. The girl walks in the forest to her grandmother, but the grandmother has been eaten by a wolf who pretends to be her grandmother. The story is scary, but of course all ends well.

Classic Record a Story: The Three Little Pigs

Three little pigs are sent out into the world to seek their fortune. The first pig builds a straw house, but it is blown over by the big bad wolf. The pig gets eaten. The second pig also builds a house that’s blown over, but the last pig builds a house that’s too strong for the wolf.

This classic fairy tale instills the values of hard work and protecting yourself.

Classic Record a Story: The Ugly Ducking

In the ugly duckling we find a duckling who is different from the other ducklings. However, the other ducklings grow up to be ducks, because the ugly duckling turns into a beautiful swan.

“We’re Not Scared of Anything”,Hallmark Recordable Storybook

Kids get scared, that’s just the way it is. Whether it’s bogymen in the closet or falling through the stars in a dream, it’s part of growing up.

DEALING with fear is also part of growing up and that’s just what this book helps your kids to learn – in a fun way, with a roar at the end…

This is a great story to help kids conquer their fears. Recorded in the voice of a parent it is especially useful when the child is going away to stay somewhere else.

I Love You, Grandma (Hallmark Recordable Book)

This recordable book flips the dynamic of recordable books: it’s the child reading something to his or her grandmother. The result makes a great gift for grandma.

The custom audiobooks features voice capture technology, recording the reader’s voice, which is captured within the book. When a child turns a page, the book automatically plays the text on that page in the reader’s voice.

Read the story and record it in your own voice simply by pressing the record button. You can record and save, or erase and re-record over and over too. Recordable Storybooks are great alternatives for out-of-town grandparents, parents in the military, or parents who travel on business who still want to read to their kids from across the miles.

Learning in all kinds of ways

Your child is learning an awful lot every minute. Whether they’re chewing on everything they can reach, or trying to hold on, or practicing their first words – everything is practice for them. They’re getting to know the world, themselves and you. They’re learning vocabulary and understand more words than you probably give them credit for.

One of the most important things you can do for your child, growing up, is read to them. Second best? These recordable storybooks which allow a grandparent or absent parent who is traveling to record a story for your child.

Reading to your child will help them learn to concentrate and develop their vocabulary. Especially if you talk with them about the story.
