Modern Art Jigsaw Puzzles

Jigsaw puzzles are a great activity for families to work together or for one person to work alone. Modern art jigsaw puzzles often offer an extra challenge in piecing them together because the lines and forms are painted in such a way that may not seem logical until the pieces are all interlocked together. A gift of a jigsaw puzzle works for both men and women along with children. Jigsaw Puzzles make a nice gift for a birthday or a holiday for puzzle lovers.

When the puzzle has been worked from a modern piece of more or less abstract art the completed puzzle looks really awesome if it is framed and hung on a wall. Special glues can be purchased to hold the puzzle together so that it can be framed or hung on a wall without a frame.

The very first jigsaw puzzles were created using pieces of wood with a picture painted on it or printed on it and then cut randomly with a jigsaw. Today’s puzzles are usually printed on recycled paper using non-toxic vegetable based inks making them friendly to the environment.
